• You can sit in the lovely Meeting House garden and enjoy the day
.

Why we do it:
Markets are enjoyable and help the producer groups we work with to reach more people. Our prices mean that fair trade is not exclusively for the well-off - it's for everyone. The producers take an enormous amount of care in making the products and the markets show a wide audience the quality of the goods. We love our stuff and hope you will love it too. And, traditionally, a market is where lots of people can come together and have a great day.

We have had lots of help and always appreciate people who help us set up the market, will sell for us at parties etc, organise fashion shows or who feel they have other particular skills i.e. design, marketing, etc.

How much you can expect to pay:
Handloomed men's shirts are an amazing £19.50, women's dresses typically £35. Jewellery ranges from £5 to £25.

The Brighton Fair Trade Market sells the following range most months: bags (jute, cotton, velvet, silk), baskets, breads, bracelets, brooches, bowls, cakes, cards, cheeses, coffee, croissants, cushion covers, earrings, finger puppets, hairslides, incense, jewellery, jewellery boxes, necklaces, olives, olive oil, parmesan, pillboxes, pottery, purses, rings, spoons, scarves (silk, cotton and lace), shirts, tablecloths, tops, torques, kids t-shirts, wallhangings.

And don't worry we've also got some pretty whopping shopping bags to take it all away in. There's lots to nosh and slurp on the spot and a wonderful, very reasonably priced cafe serving local, organic food and fair trade tea and coffee.

Tell your friends. After all, everyone comes to Brighton at some point and what better weekend to pick than the third Saturday of the month. We've had visitors from all over the world - so why not you?
Do join us.
